Creative Backlight Options

By combining already intriguing perforated metal designs used for paneling, façades, columns, and ceilings with lighting the results are phenomenal. Light distribution is easily accomplished via the use of diffusion and even dispersion. The true beauty of this product shines when the metal combined with the backlighting brings forth an entirely new layer of art to the mix. From interesting designs by reflections off of the floor to selective lighting allowing for bland surfaces to have a pattern suddenly thrust on it, this product has visual appeal to spare, alongside the obvious functionality of controlled lighting.

The metal material solution offered an easy and economical way to divide the space without having to alter the architecture.

Metal Sentinel

Móz Designs expertly outfitted pair of custom perforated metal columns for the lobby at Wells Fargo in San Francisco. Designers at Interior Architects asked Móz to fabricate two square metal columns with a custom perforated pattern. The Graphite color provides a cool metallic tone to offset the rich woods and warm accent colors seen in the space. The graphite color in custom perforation offsets the rich woods and warm accent colors while the brushed Fog grain and Polycoat Matte finish create a soft, muted surface texture.

A-Mozing Metals

Móz recently completed a custom wall-to-ceiling feature for Ally Financial in their new Detroit office. Inspired by the city’s growing infrastructure, the metal feature mimics industrial masonry, while offering all the benefits of Móz metals: easy to specify, easy to install and easy to maintain for a long-term surfacing solution. SmithGroupJJR specified Graphite and Light Graphite in a Mason pattern for the 75 aluminum metal extensions that form an office partition that also serves as a site-specific decorative feature.
