The concept for the wood ceiling above the Hill Climb stairs was inspired by the canopy of the trees in the Pacific Northwest forests, the experience of being under them and the quality of light you get when the sunlight filters through the canopies of the trees in a forest. At the hill climb, that is achieved partially from the natural light coming from the adjacent glazed façade, and at night from the vertical light fixtures placed on the walls and in-between each row of the wood “combs.”
The LED Rectangular Step Lights located on the side of the stairs at the Seattle Convention Center illuminate the seating at the Hill Climb. The trimless, recessed rectangular steplight comes with a 3W or 6W LED and downward beam. Minimal design and flush installation. Ideal for steps & stairs.
