Doors Offer Enhancements to Yankee Stadium

In 2006, construction started on a new $2.3 billion stadium adjacent to the historic Bronx ballpark, which closed in 2008, giving way to the new stadium at the startof the 2009 season, and ultimately renovations in 2017. Any of the Yankees’ legends, including Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Roger Maris or Mickey Mantle, would be thrilled to step into the batter’s box at the new park, which underwent numerous enhancements during the months leading up to the 2017 season.

Proprietors of Ainslie, Brooklyn, New York’s newest Italian restaurant, hustled to create accommodations where they could.  The restaurant uses operable doors from Schweiss Bifold to get the job done. Disguised as attractive cladding, this five bifold door, designed by WRNS Studio, as part of Schweiss Doors’ designer bifold liftstrap line, gives this kiosk-style cafe at the San Francisco Civic Center the right touch for the plaza. Consisting of laser-cut stainless-steel panels, the doors open on all sides. When closed, they blend into the building design so passersby don’t even see them.


Ornate Bifold

Two ornately clad Schweiss Doors bifold designer doors blend in with the historic 1926 look of a new apartment complex at Seattle’s historic auto row. The custom-made liftstrap doors measure 11 ft., 10 in. × 11 ft., 11 in. and 11 ft., 1 in. × 10 ft., 1 in.. Each door is equipped with photo eye sensors.


Doors Add Finishing Touch to Entertainment Center

The new Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas, is a 410,000-sq.-ft., 16.7-acre, American Entertainment complex developed by The ARK Group and the City of Irving, and designedby Gensler. The complex houses 20 restaurants and retail space. The music arena converts easily from an intimate 4000-seat concert hall to an 8000-seat amphitheater, named the Pavilion at The Music Factory, the $40 million centerpiece of the complex. At the exterior of the Pavilion, at the outside of the amphitheater, are a series of seven, side-by-side, bifold liftstrap doors, ranging from 35 ft. 1 in. to 36 ft. 9 in. in width. All seven doors have a clear opening height of 25 ft., 6 in.
