Demi Sconce
Designed by Caleb Siemon and Carmen Salazar, the piece is made in California using a centuries-old sand-casting technique to create tactile, light-diffusing glass that softly diffuses light. A hand-formed brass armature cradles the hemispherical glass, resulting in a fixture that feels as refined as a piece of jewelry yet entirely functional. The design subtly reflects Caleb’s early exposure to jewelry making and Carmen’s sculptural background, capturing the many chapters of their evolution as artists.
The fixtures are hand-shaped in lead-free crystal at Cerno’s vertically integrated factory headquarters in Southern California. With a modern manufacturing process that emphasizes the human touch, each cast glass fixture is unique.
