ThermalStar DripWave EPS Insulation

This energy-efficient expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation was designed to enhance performance in exterior one-coat stucco assemblies and may also be used in other exterior wall systems, subject to project requirements.  The patented vertically oriented wave pattern (2" OC) creates a controlled drainage space between the foam insulation and the water-resistive barrier. In the event incidental moisture is present, the integrated drainage plane allows it to safely drain and dry, supporting long-term wall durability. Consisting of closed-cell, lightweight, and resilient expanded polystyrene (EPS), ThermalStar DripWave meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM C578, Type II, Standard Specification for Rigid, Cellular Polystyrene Thermal Insulation. ThermalStar DripWave provides long-term R-value, compressive resistance, and dimensional stability. The product is available in 2’ x 8’ & 4’ x 8’ tongue & groove panels and thicknesses of 1”-1 ½” for use over open wall framing and 1/2”-1 ½” for use over sheathed wall framing. ThermalStar DripWave is approved for use in residential, multifamily, and commercial structures.
