According to DowelLam, dowel-laminated timber (DLT) is the only all-wood mass timber panel, utilizing hardwood dowels rather than glue to laminate the boards. DLT utilization meant not only a more beneficial timber grid, but also reduced off-gassing, given the much lower adhesive volume used in the panels. Aesthetically, the use of Douglas Spruce Pine Fir from the Pacific Northwest creates warmth throughout the interior and connects the building to nature and the region's historic timber industry.
