Municipalities across the U.S. are increasing requirements for roofs over dumpster enclosures. Stormwater runoff picks up contaminants from dumpsters, polluting local water sources. Dumpsters are required to have lids to prevent this, but this measure has proven insufficient. The plastic lids are prone to cracking and warping over time. Enclosure roof systems with gutters prevent rainwater from entering dumpsters, reducing run-off pollution and the development of mold and mildew to meet municipal code requirements.
