Upcoming HKTDC lighting fairs in Hong Kong in October

Oct. 12, 2023
The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair and Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will debut the “connected lighting” zone featuring renowned brands.

Two industry shows are taking place this month in Hong Kong, a premier trade fair capital in Asia. The eighth Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will be held Oct. 26–29 at AsiaWorld-Expo, while the 25th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (autumn edition) will be held Oct. 27–30 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the fairs gather more than 3,100 exhibitors, forming a world-renowned lighting marketplace. The events will be held in HKTDC’s EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, an exhibition model that integrates online and offline trade show formats with an online smart business matching platform, which will operate Oct. 19–Nov. 6, providing a means for traders to connect.

Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo

International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo gathers a series of commercial and industrial lighting fixtures, providing buyers with a one-stop sourcing platform. The “Innobuild” zone brings together exhibitors from the construction and hardware industry to showcase security, safety, and construction electronic systems, construction technology, construction materials, and hardware.

The “exterior lighting solutions and systems” zone will gather many of the latest smart lamps as well as various energy-efficient, high-performance lighting systems and technologies.

The “horticultural lighting” zone returns this year and brings more new products, including the latest plant lighting technology and plant growth lamps for estates and farms, as well as a series of lighting products suitable for outdoor parks and home gardens.

The “technical & professional lighting” zone will feature lighting fixtures suitable for professional venues such as warehouses and production rooms, as well as a wide variety of lighting equipment for large sports venues.

The “outdoor and public lighting” and the “outdoor advertising lighting” zones will display lamps for outdoor public spaces and outdoor advertising.

This year's autumn Lighting Fair will launch a new “connected lighting” zone that demonstrates the possibilities of smart and IoT-enabled lighting solutions from international companies and brands like DALI Alliance, Leedarson, Midea, Sunricher, Snappy, and Herculux. The “Hall of Aurora” will return, bringing lighting products from brands such as Signify, Megaman, Prosperity Group, Traxon e:cue, Beghelli, Moso, and more.

Other zones include the following:

Program activities

A variety of activities such as seminars, lighting product launches, and networking events will be held during the fairs, giving participants insights into the latest technological information, innovative developments, and market trends in the industry and opportunities to chat with buyers from around the world. In the seminars, industry leaders will discuss lighting technology applications and opportunities regarding smart and connected technology, healthy lighting, sustainable development of the lighting industry, green lighting design, and more.

Speakers include Jean-Marie Croué, délégué général from Syndicat du Luminaire GIL; Lu Lin Vivien, a professor from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; Eric Shiu and Frankie Tsang, associate directors from TinoKwan Lighting Consultants Ltd.; representatives of Connectivity Standards Alliance Member Group China (CMGC); and representatives of Shanghai Pudong Intelligent Lighting Association.
