Commercial Decorative Window Film

March 6, 2024

These decorative window films transform the function and feel of commercial spaces by adding privacy, filtering light, and creating one-of-a-kind designs. The privacy film is a solution for windows, partitions, doors, cabinets, and even glass furniture.

When designing the headquarters for the Association of Interior Designers (ASID) in Washington, D.C., Perkins&Will specified Llumar decorative window film with printed patterns of a dragonfly wing, which is a naturally occurring fractal pattern, as a way of satisfying the biophilic design principle of Complexity and Order. For this project, “The pattern acts as a visual distraction marker for the glass while adding a layer of visual detail to the corridor,” relates David Cordell, associate principal, Perkins&Will, Washington, D.C.
