SlopeShield Plus Self-Adhered (SA) is a highly vapor-permeable roofing underlayment air barrier (AB) material. As an air barrier membrane product, SlopeShield Plus SA stops the movement of air, eliminating damaging moisture transferred by air, and maximizes energy savings while meeting energy code requirements. As a vapor permeable membrane (30 perms) product, it allows the remaining vapor to escape the roof assembly through diffusion. The combined unique features allow the creation of a “self-drying roof,” eliminating a troubling phenomenon called the “vapor sandwich,” when moisture becomes trapped in the roofing assembly.
