SkyWay Bird Film

This American Bird Conservancy (ABC)-recommended window film effectively reduces bird window collisions. The ABC’s “Material Threat Factor” score system provides a relative measure of how well materials prevent collisions in a standard, controlled test environment. The organization defines “bird-friendly” materials as having a threat factor ≤ 30. The lower the score, the more effective the tested material. SkyWay Bird Film earned a Threat Factor score of 15.

2025 PIA Judge's Comment:

"SkyWay Bird Film is a cost effective way to keep our feathered friends safe. Measures to deter bird strikes are normally done when a building is being designed and constructed. It would be cost prohibitive to remove existing large panes of glass and replace it with bird-deterrent glass. This product can be applied on existing building glass on the exterior. It’s Threat Factor of 15 is an excellent measurement to prevent bird collisions with windows."
