Offering bird collision mitigation with a high level of transparency, ORNILUX Bird Protection glass from General Glass International has been tested and approved for an “Effective” rating from the American Bird Conservancy. The glass can be heat-strengthened or tempered, and may be used as a triple-laminated glass or as part of an insulated glass unit. For optimized visibility and effectiveness, it is best to minimize façade design elements which may limit the glass’ exposure to natural light. The glass appears clear to humans, but birds see a pattern due to a UV reflective coating.
