Running alongside an escalator on one side and an expansive curtain wall on the other is the Pacific Madrone wooden Hill Climb with blackened steel railings.
With four main landings, nine interstitial short landings and 55 step seats with benches, the expansive Pacific Madrone wooden staircase with blackened steel railings encourages patrons to sit, rest, mingle, and enjoy the sunlight and views. Pacific Madrone is an evergreen hardwood, known for hardness, durability and rich color. LMN Architects used Pacific Madrone to create the impressive stairway called Hill Climb at the Seattle Convention Center (shown here).
