Combining excellent solar control, a neutral appearance and low reflectivity, Cooper Carry specified approximately 45,000 sq. ft. of AGC Glass North America’s ENERGY Select 28 high-performance, low-E coated glazing for the Hotel Avalon and Alpharetta Conference Center in Alpharetta, Ga. Whereas the architects used lots of clear glass at the lower levels to deliver the same level of transparency as retail storefronts, they desired more privacy with a low level of reflectance that could also comply with energy-code requirements for the guest suites in the rest of the building, which is where ENERGY Select 28 was a great fit.
