The AHR Expo, the industry’s largest HVAC show in the U.S., returned in person in 2022. This unique show provides the venue where the future of HVACR technology is on display and the hot topic of discussion in the over 1,500 exhibitor booths hosted there. For those of us who were unable to attend, the AHR Expo Industry Trends Report summarized the direction the industry is headed. One key takeaway: The Future is Clean. A sentiment supported by the decarbonization, electrification, low-GWP refrigerants, and regulation updates that have become increasingly common across the market. The report also noted that the pandemic has changed the industry by making customers more aware of their indoor environments and identified indoor air quality (IAQ) as a design objective with some staying power. This issue of AP ProductWire profiles a few of the products that caught the eye and imagination of contributing writer John Mesenbrink.

Ronald McDonald House Courtyard is a Study in Fun
GBBN’s designers specified Petersen’s PAC-CLAD products to create the unique exteriors framing the courtyard of this Ronald McDonald House in Cincinnati. These included approximately 22,000 sq. ft. of the company’s Flush wall panels in a mix of Cityscape—a gray tone that creates a neutral background—along with Patina Green, Teal and the custom yellow Parakeet for the striping that surrounds the windows. An additional 860 sq. ft. of Petersen’s Snap-Clad roof panels were used to create a canopy for the facility’s 7th-story rooftop gathering space.
