With COVID-19 vaccinations beginning to roll out, there’s renewed hope that most of us will be able to return to our workplaces in the not-so-distant future. The question is, having successfully proved working remotely is possible, will people want to return to the office en masse? In the coming issue we explore this subject in a feature examining hot work spaces, where designers especially “branded” their clients. Given the question above, creating extremely desirable spaces to work in is becoming table stakes. That said, a few patterns are emerging, including the need for a dynamic, “downtown”-like hub that yields to “neighborhoods,” where other, less “action”-oriented tasks can be accomplished. Following are a few products that helps address “splash and dash”—items that not only create pizzazz, but help space and zone these different areas.
