The Mother Arnetta Crawford Housing Bronx, N.Y.

Bronx Housing Project Gets Custom Clean Look

Low-income families and people with special needs can take advantage of the specially constructed units in New York City. The $27 million, 78,000-sq.-ft. building opened in May 2015. Designed to LEED Silver standards, the building has 84 rental units and 21 parking spaces. 590X Steel Replica Window

New Historic Window on the Block

Combining the best of two worlds with historically inspired profiles, narrow sightlines, enhanced energy-efficiency and performance, EFCO introduces the 590X Steel Replica Window. Imitating the look of a classic, industrial steel window in a choice of three standard profiles—bevel, cove and T-grid—or in made-to-order options, project teams can also customize muntins to easily and economically match existing sightlines. The operable window delivers a thermal U-factor as low as 0.42 with a standard low-E product and a condensation resistance factor as high as 71. The window meets AAMA 513 standards for accessibility, and the inclusion of thicker glass enhances acoustic performance
